Full Stack Payments
Gateway, recurring billing and vertical business apps under one login.
- Salon & spa
- Fitness
- Professional services
- B2B
- Ecommerce
- Any business
An independent assessment. Vigilant can place Full Stack Payments, and is paid the same either way — which is why the drawbacks are on this page too.
What it is
Full Stack Payments is a gateway and a business platform in the same account. The payments side is a genuine developer gateway — sale, auth, capture, void and refund, ACH, a customer vault, tokenised hosted payment fields, recurring subscriptions, hosted checkout, WalletJS for Apple Pay and Google Pay, webhooks, a batch upload API and a terminals API, with prebuilt plugins for WooCommerce, Magento and Gravity Forms.
The business side is where most merchants live: a customisable dashboard, client records with payment history, recurring billing with digital contracts, invoicing with dual pricing built in, custom reports, a QuickBooks integration and an online store with compliant dual-pricing checkout.
Under the Stackably brand it ships vertical packages — Salon Stack, Pet Stack, Gymnastics Stack, Dance Stack — each bundling the platform with a booking-enabled website, a customer app and an admin app for that trade.
Who it fits
Best for
Service businesses on recurring billing — salons, studios, gyms, pet services — and software companies that want a gateway with real API surface.
Probably not ideal for
Restaurants and multi-SKU retail. There is no table service here and inventory is basic.

Strengths and tradeoffs
Strengths
- Booking, payments, invoicing and a light retail counter in one stack, which removes several vendors at once.
- Sensible for a business that has outgrown a booking app but does not need a full POS.
- Recurring billing and deposits both supported, so it fits memberships and appointments.
- One relationship for the software and the processing, which simplifies support.
- Reasonable value against buying booking, payments and invoicing separately.
Tradeoffs
- Broad rather than deep — a dedicated booking platform will out-feature it, as will a dedicated POS.
- Processing is part of the package, so the rate is set at signing.
- Smaller ecosystem and fewer integrations than the mainstream platforms.
- Reporting is adequate rather than analytical.
- If one part of your business dominates, a specialist for that part is usually the better buy.
Pricing
Platform subscription plus processing, with vertical Stack packages priced as bundles.
Pricing reflects what the vendor publishes or what we have seen quoted. Your actual terms depend on volume, card mix and what is negotiated — which is the part we do.
Vigilant's assessment
A consolidation play for a small service business running three or four disconnected tools. The value is in removing vendors rather than in any single feature, so compare it against the total of what you pay now, not against a feature list.
How it compares
Consolidation versus specialisation again — this time for service businesses that book appointments and also sell things.
| Criterion | Gymdesk Membership & billing | TATTOOGENDA Deposit-first booking | Full Stack Booking plus payments stack |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best at | Membership billing depth | Deposit-first long bookings | Covering several needs adequately |
| Breadth | Focused | Focused | Widest of the three |
| Depth in its niche | Deep | Deep | Moderate |
| Retail counter | Basic | Basic | Yes |
| Processing | Paired with a rate we negotiate | Paired with a rate we negotiate | Bundled with the platform |
| Vendors replaced | One or two | One or two | Three or four |
| Pick it when | Memberships are the revenue | No-shows are the revenue leak | You are paying four vendors for one workflow |
Verdict. Count what you pay today across booking, payments and invoicing. If it is three or four bills, Full Stack usually wins on total cost. If one need dominates, buy the specialist.
